Committee has a good giggle, pairs Vermont with Syracuse
The NCAA Selection Committee has a sick sense of humor. Your reaction to this seeding? This could either be really good, and provide us with a chance for some measure of revenge after the debacle in Worcester, or this could cause the Catamounts to become frisky again and perhaps give us a rather scary first round game. Also, Gonzaga as the 8 seed? Really? You busted our balls sending us out West and add that to the mix too?

Which is fine
If we were facing Gonzaga in Spokane, it’d be another story. But Gonzaga in Buffalo is cool.
I was actually waiting for a very long time to finally get a shot at Gonzaga.
And now one is realistically in our reach.
KJ
And I’m sure KJ is looking forward to playing against his older brother.
I'm terrified
If any school is going to be the 1st to lose to the 16, it’s Syracuse, and the team that lost to LeMoyne.
If we play 40 minutes
of zone like we did against LeMoyne, then we can worry. I doubt that happens.
The Hoyas shuffled off with their twin cocktails of discontent - Dana O'neil 2/18/10
If we commit 20 turnovers
Allow Vermont to shoot 40 three’s… have Rick Jackson show up with his greased up hands and soft attitude… etc…. why not?
How much would you pay
to see the look on Boeheim’s face when they turned over “Vermont” on the Selection Show?
Do you think it was the sheer rage normally reserved only for Tim Higgins? Arrogant glee at the thought of beating these guys by 60? Sadness and dejection normally rivaled by Baxter being punted off a bridge? I really don’t know and I wish the CBS cameras were there in his basement so we could find out.
...it's the most bullshit thing I've seen in thirty years.

Without Gerry McNamara we wouldn't have won 10 f-- games, not 10

I always expect the worst
I remember 05. I remember Syracuse losing to teams like Cleveland State, Ohio, and Rutgers (in 03, of all years).
But let me tell you something else. I grew up a Cuse fan, but now attend Michigan. My first game was in 2007. Returning seniors Mike Hart, Chad Henne, Jake Long and future NFL’ers Adrian Arrington and Mario Manningham, Michigan was ranked 5th to start the year. My first game in the Big House was the first game of the season that year. It was against a small school few people had heard of called Appalachian State. In case you didn’t hear what happened, Michigan became the first ever ranked team to lose to a D-1AA team that day.
Long story short, if a 1 seed was ever going to lose to a 16 seed, I would expect it to be a team I was supporting. So I am scared shitless of Vermont
GO CUSE, BLUE, AND EAGLES!
