Lets pray
This is all precautionary just to let it heal as quick as possible…

It’s terrible and I feel absolutely sick for Onuaku—who’s worked as hard as anyone—to potentially end his career without getting this special chance to play for a Championship.
But we’ve been really lucky this year… to only play seven men and have NO serious injuries until the thirty-second game of the year. I hate to say the team was “due” but if the last couple years have told us anything, it’s that Fate and Syracuse Knee Ligaments have a rocky relationship.

It looks like it's weight-baring
that’s a good thing, right? I’ve only broken bones in my leg so I don’t know what the rules are for walking around with muscle or ligament injuries.
Ooo yea that's hot.
THAT'S A LOAD-BEARING CANDY CANE!

I wouldn't take that down...

As scary as this is as a fan, I mostly just feel awful for Arinze.
I hope he’s healthy and able to play, if only so he can experience the feeling of playing well with a great team in the NCAA tournament. He deserves to end his Syracuse career with that; not in a giant leg brace on the bench.

Sean, I assume you've flown out to Syracuse
and you’ll be waiting at the hospital for the MRI results and will blog them immediately, right?
cant beleive Im asking but...
doesnt anyone know when his MRI actually is…feel like we wont know the truth until Monday any post Selection Show…
Was supposed to happen this AM in Syracuse.
Dunno if they’ll release the results now, or maybe next week.
Plane landed 15 minutes ago

i think that if the results are positive
they will release details sooner.
if we don’t hear anything today…i’ll be more and more worried.
thanks guys...
agreed w/ you Emac33, the longer the wait, the worse the news. i think Momma AO was just being positive yesterday … although Mom does know best … i hate waiting.
The injury hurts
and hopefully its just a mild thing.
However, its spurned a lot of talk about Syracuse really getting hurt by this. Title hopes dashed, won’t be able to beat an 8th seed, major blow, blah blah blah.
Taking nothing away from Onauku…. Syracuse is NOT a one-man team!!! Everyone produces. Sure, we have a short rotation. So what. We still have 6 other guys who have played fantastic all year. As solid down low as Onauku has been, his spot can be filled and likely with better FT shooting. Really, i love the guy (professionally speaking) but losing one guy to injury doesn’t kill this teams hopes. thats what makes this team so special!!!

I just got back from Vacation and this is already putting a damper on everything.
That said, we’re still a one seed.
But rooting for Maryland and Sparty isn’t a bad idea at this point…
