Apologies to the SU lacrosse team, lax season is like a scalding hot bath...I need to ease into it. Once I'm in, it's pleasurable and relaxing.
It comes at the height of Big East basketball season and, especially this year, it's hard to drag my focus away. I promise, give me a couple weeks and I'll be right there with you guys. I just need you to hold down the fort until then. Just lax, baby.
In the meantime, Dave Rahme and the folks at the D.O. have all the information you could possibly want to prepare for you tonight's match-up with something called Denver University. For reals though, don't be fooled. They're actually a decent program and they're led by longtime Princeton coach Bill Tierney, which means he's slightly aware of what Syracuse can do.

FYI, Rahme's already in regular-season snark mode:
Talk about an enviable record. Desko will enter his 12th season at the helm with five national championships and a record of 134-42 (.770). What a joke it is that he has been named USILA Division I coach of the year only once (2008). Prior to his stint as head coach he helped Roy Simmons Jr. guide SU to victory in six national-title games.
Between him and Boeheim, it must be a Syracuse thing.
