Kentucky stole the game in OT versus Mississippi State tonight. John Wall drew some very questionable foul calls down the stretch and then got away with a blatant goaltend at the other end. It was like the refs were making him into the point-guard-savant-clutch-hero that ESPN wants him to be. More interestingly, perhaps, is that Miss St ran a 2-3 zone during the game and it seems that KY had trouble against it. This could be fun come tournament time if the Cuse happens to match up with them at some point. Coach Cal's Memphis teams certainly didn't fare too well against previous Cuse teams' 2-3 zones and he's running the same system, so it wouldn't be a big surprise.
In other news, Miss St's fans ended the game with some classy WVUesque behavior - throwing full bottles of water and drinks onto the court. One seemed to nearly hit the ESPN announcers, another nearly hit a ref and a KY player. This after a week of Miss St fans calling and texting DeMarcus Cousins. He said some were *ahem* inviting, while others were threatening and racially charged.
