One of multiple reports in Miami that are now claiming that Randy Edsall is the top candidate out there for the Miami head coaching job (which means he's 3rd or 4th choice, but lets not split hairs here).
I'm not sure how I feel about this. On the one hand, it's a good thing for me, being a hater of all things both UConn and Miami: I think UConn's football program takes a step backwards without him, and I don't think that he can recruit well enough or coach in the ugly environment that is Miami (terrible fanbase (who don't go to games and think 10-2 is a horrible season), no on-campus stadium, terrible boosters, reputation, etc.) On the other hand, his being at UConn is probably a good thing in that we need strong football programs in the BE. Plus, I'd hate to be deprived of the opportunity to beat him in football next year.
