Yesterday, on ESPN radio (Syracuse), the local show was giving away a trip to the Pinstripe Bowl.

The contest was a 4 question "gauntlet" 

I called repeatedly until I got through, and was 3rd in line.

Much to my dismay, Mike Waters was interviewed midway through the contest segment.  I stayed on hold and kept my place in line.

Most of these questions were no brainers!  (Who are the starting LBs, name 3 starting QBs after McNabb, conference record  etc..)

SO.  I waited and listened sitting in my car, pulled over, half way home from work.  Waited.....waited....

I was next in line!  I was nervous but feeling great!

MY CELL PHONE DIED!!!!!!

Of course I was skipped and the next shmuck in line (Jason from Syr?) got my questions....and he BLEW IT!

1. Conference record?  4-3

2. 3 starting QBs since McNabb? Perry Patterson, Greg Paulus, Ryan Nassib, TROY NUNES etc...

3.  Aside from Andrew Robinson, name a QB that has completed a pass to themselves (in the last decade)? Troy Nunes

4. And this one, I did not hear one person who attempted it, get it right. AND I KNEW IT. 

What NFL team was HCDM drafted to?  LA RAIDERS 1986!!!!

So my phone died, some dumbass got my line of questions, and I get to miss out on the SU football event of the past 5....maybe 10 years!  I couldn't even keep listening to see if someone did in fact win, but I'm sure with how long it took with all these attempted-googlers and idiots that kept getting them wrong, they probably just made it easy enough to be a give-away.  To prove my disgust, I went out and bought a Droid X, banishing my old phone, as it is a bad luck charm now.  Maybe I'll tape it to the Georgetown bus when they come to town....
