I dont know why more people dont go to these games

i was at an AHL game in Hartford and there were maybe 50 people. 3 of the guys starting had played for the Rangers in a packed MSG 2 nights before. You see people clamour for autographs and high fives at the big games…. this is an opportunity to get up close and personal with the same athletes. And lets be honest here, the NBA is not about the teams, its about the players

Here in Binghamton the Senators get awesome attandance.

2-3k on a regular game and they’ll often sell out the 6k for opening, closing, and some big Saturday games.

I remember during the strike Jason Spezza AND Ray Emory were here.

On a lesser note, the Binghamton Mets have led the AA Eastern League in attendance for over a decade now. Hard to believe they’ve almost been here 20 years, usually unheard of in anything below AAA.

Point being, I hear ya, Minor League sports is awesome. Cheap tickets, good seats, copious beer & brats.

I’m sure they’d try to bring a D-league team, but the University invested so much in going D-1 there’s no way they’d let the local officials even entertain it..

One of the key contests in Syracuse's march to the national championship in 1959 was a titanic clash with unbeaten Penn State on Nov. 7, 1959 in University Park, PA. The Nittany Lions were ranked No. 7 and the Orangemen No. 4.

The 20-18 victory propelled Syracuse to the No. 1 in both the AP and UPI polls which they held for the remainder of the season to claim the consensus National Championship. This is the Universal Newsreel account of that contest.
