Pride, Strength and Tradition ..

It’s nice to see the initial bricks of a solid foundation being built at Syracuse University. Ol’ Ben would be proud.

Play Hard, Play Orange

The last play of the game .. McNabb throwing in the opposite direction ......

This is why more fans should support this team and for those who do not, I have a big FUCK YOU just waiting for them to bitch and moan about Coach Marrone not showing any passion or how they “got lucky”. This team shows us fans and our traditions a great amount of respect and we should return that emotion and then some. They went down to Morgantown and played their hearts out and earned our loyalty and respect. So if you didn’t have it before this game and don’t now, take your ass on to Rutgers or Notre Dame, where ever the hell you think you can go to find perfection because I would rather have 30,000 loud and strong than 45,000 with half sitting on their hands waiting for this team to lose again to justify your pathetic “I told you they were over rated” statements.

Thank you Syracuse players and coaches for respect us and our traditions and continue to do what you have been doing, many of us appreciate everything you do and are with you 100%.

Go Orange!

Just an overall awesome weekend

All of us who have suffered through the past few years have been waiting for a weekend like this for a long time. The fact it was WVU just makes it even sweeter. Very hard to describe how fulfilling that victory was to Syracuse fans. Go Orange!

just wanted to add...

It was also very fulfilling to see the players and coaches hard work pay off. I felt great for us fans, but I feel even better for the team. They deserved it this weekend.

Andrew Lewis' Twitter

There is an ALARMING amount of Chipotle chatter on there. Thankfully he doesn’t play for the basketball team.

But I like that they acknowledge the death of the Chipotle curse!

Question...

Do the football players work out at manley or melo center? If manley, we need a McNabb center!

Also, is the chipotle curse over without using my chipotle graphic? :(

And finally, reinstate the 44 jersey.

Melo is Basketball/WBB only

That's a proper rivalry trophy.

Not some jug. Not an axe. Not some fucking bucket of nails.

I hate trophys

they should all be cups. That way you can drink out of them.

Plus, Jim Ridlon made it.

So it’ll always be more Orange than it is Mountaineer.

All the deserved love Smith and Hogue and Spruill get...

Some love for the D line and guys like Lewis too.

Someones gotta keep the O line out of the second level, and hold up in their blocks.

Some very solid, un-noticed performances in there by guys like Lewis/ Perkis/ Tribbey etc.

Marinovich and Jones are solid in setting the edge and run support too.

*the safeties and corners deserve recognition as well but this week it’s about the line and the line backers

One of the key contests in Syracuse's march to the national championship in 1959 was a titanic clash with unbeaten Penn State on Nov. 7, 1959 in University Park, PA. The Nittany Lions were ranked No. 7 and the Orangemen No. 4.

The 20-18 victory propelled Syracuse to the No. 1 in both the AP and UPI polls which they held for the remainder of the season to claim the consensus National Championship. This is the Universal Newsreel account of that contest.
