RICKY-J

I love all the yapping about Kris-Jo, Triche, Scoooopp, Fab Melo (damn were gunna be good this year)...

But you know what I love even more? The almost NO talk about Ricky Jackson. This is a player that may be the glue to this team down low on offense, as Melo is more of a defensive force until he matures more. Ricky-J is "that player" that ESPN analysts will say after a good game "Wow did Rick Jackson step up to help Cuse to victory". But in my eyes its not him even stepping up, because I think from watching the past 3 years of his play that he has good enough talent to play with the best.

I think we should be bowing to our assistant coaches for their development of un-athletic big men and turning them into forces down low. Remember Onuaku freshman year? Remember Ricky-J freshman year? They looked absolutely horrible with no athletic ability and they would legit throw up the ugliest shots ever. Now? Their footwork is impecable and they know how to get position down low for what they make look like easy buckets.

With Scoop/Triche/KrisJo leading the fast attack, I think the big men on our team will be a fantastic compliment to complete a very very well rounded Syracuse squad.

Oh and 1 more point. Why is it that EVERY YEAR a Syracuse player or 2 is not mentioned on the first team All Big East yet somehow they always end up on it at the end of the year? These analysts/coaches need to take a hint!
