Brian Bennett Refuses To Admit Syracuse Beat South Florida Last Week

ESPN's Big East writer Brian Bennett has been suspicious of the Orange so far this season. He's applauded SU for winning games but been critical of the team's they have beaten. Perhaps that's because he refuses to admit that the Orange even played one of the opponents they've beaten this year.

Here's Brian's Big East Power Poll for this week, in which he ranks SU No. 6 overall:

It's a bummer that we're 0-1 in Big East play, especially because we're not. We're 1-1.

Fair enough, mistakes happen. I'm sure BB will get it right in his Big East race update...

Rutgers is 1-0 and still in the hunt, though the Scarlet Knights are going to have to get a lot better on offense to be a serious contender. Louisville and Syracuse each are improved, but opening up league play by losing at home has put them in an early hole. UConn (0-1) isn't out of it yet, but the Huskies need to win at Louisville this week to avoid falling too far behind.

Nope. No. Not at all.

The only logical conclusion to be drawn here? Big USF is paying some very powerful lobbyists to make sure Bennett erases that loss from the collective memory of Big East fans. Sorry, Skip, not gonna happen...
