Syracuse Daily Links - Wes, Jonny Set To Return
Do you remember?: Memories of Johnson, Flynn linger as duo preps for return - The Daily Orange - Sports
"He knows he's good, but he takes the time (for the fans)," Madden said. "He doesn't have to sit in Great Northern Mall for three hours (sic) signing autographs for no money. For him to do things like that and after he left Syracuse to come back … That, I think, defines what kind of athlete and what kind of person he is." That day, Johnson signed autographs for 30 minutes past his scheduled ending time.
The Cuse Connection: Delone Carter's Run for the Record Book Update

Otto's Army " The Praise Starts At The Top
Their offense answered the call when needed, they overcame penalties and special teams issues, and the defense was fast, aggressive and at times dominant. The coaching was outstanding. That is where this win begins.
University’s job: Win, save the Big East - The Daily Athenaeum - Sports
"West Virginia is clearly the most talented team in the conference and should win and go undefeated in the conference with little trouble." - Are we forgetting the Marshall game?
SU's Jim Boeheim to unveil basketball courts for kids | syracuse.com
The ceremony will take place on Friday after at Schiller Park. Wesley Johnson and Jonny Flynn, two former SU players who will be in town for that night’s NBA preseason game between their Minnesota Timberwolves and the Detroit Pistons, also will be on hand.
What To Do About DaShonte | CuseOrange.com
The injury bumps Keita up on the depth chart, but if Jim Boeheim isn’t confident in what he can bring to the table at such an early point in his career, he could expand the guard rotation to include Mookie Jones as well as Dion Waiters while Kris Joseph slides to the four spot and one of Jackson or Melo anchors the big man spot. Whatever the case may be, Boeheim has options.
Orange::44: Syracuse - South Florida Postgame Reactions OR We Witnessed History
Not only has Syracuse won a Big East game, not only was it on the road, but it is the first win Syracuse has had over the South Florida Bulls in program history. A monumental win that shows a shift in the reputation of Syracuse.
The Alphabetical, Week 6: Where Les Miles Continues To Redefine Boundaries Of Football - SBNation.com
Up 13-9 with 0:55 seconds left over South Florida and in the victory running formation attempting to bleed the clock out? This is not Syracuse football. A false start while trying to run said clock out? Ah, we have attained Syracuse football, though we all avoided first degree Syracuse football by not having a fumble returned for touchdown during the clock-running endgame. Syracuse football under threat!
College Football: From mad men to midseason awards - ESPN
Syracuse and Louisville combined to go 4-24 the past two years in conference play, finishing tied for last both seasons. This year the Orange are off to a 1-0 league start after winning at South Florida, and the Cardinals just crushed Memphis 56-0 to improve to 3-2. Given the marshmallow-soft nature of the league, both can finish in the top half and earn bowl bids.

What about C.J. Fair
to give a few minutes at the 4? I’m thinking moslty for the 2-3 games where Ted Higgins decides to blow his whistle 45 times and we need bodies. I haven’t heard if they were thinking about redshirting Fair, but isn’t he like 6’7"- 6’8"?
"Stop the run to earn the right to rush the passer"- great philosophy from new SU DLine coach Jimmy Brumbaugh.

I'd call him a long 3
But I’m sure he could be put at the 4 for a few minutes to give one of our bigs a breather.
I’d say the best thing for Dashonte would be the redshirt. It’s not that he couldn’t possibly spring into his sophomore campaign a la KrisJo (I’d be surprised if he did, but KrisJo really surprised me, too), but KrisJo got to build some confidence in the out of conference schedule first, and Dashonte wouldn’t get that luxury.
Other people look, Andy Rautins can SEE.
If Delone keeps it up...
He could end up our #3 in that list.
He’s averaging 100 yards a game at least but that might slow down in conference play, barring injury, and Bailey getting more carries to keep him fresher.
Those stats, while basically accurate, should also take into account the number of carries they got as well – that really shows how balls to the wall good they were, case in point with Wrnie Davis- I thought to myself how could Delone Carter, a middle of the road running back on a chronically underperforming team get more yardage than our most revered all star linebacker? I guess time and no one else pulling their weight the last 3 seasons!
