At least we won’t lose this game by as much as OSU is going down by at home on national TV in primetime with 100000+ on hand while ranked in top 10.

You can seriously see the ESPN pundits trying not to crack a smile
while trying to objectively break down the game in a way that gets people to watch ABC.

Even though we are down 14-0, this is still a great improvement over last year’s effort. That’s for sure. I’m liking HCDM so far.
What we know so far...
…the defense is MUCH better this year. Tougher, better tackling, and generally stingy. The offense? That o-line…Marrone wasn’t kidding. Big Achilles heel. Whenever we try to throw downfield, it seems like Paulus has ZERO time. Mike Williams could be running free and we’d have no idea, since we know the homer Big 10 announcers wouldn’t mention it.
Still, MUCH better effort than last year. We’re actually still in this game, and the guys on the ESPN halftime shows are saying things like “Syracuse hanging around” and “great goal line stand by the Orange.”
But Doug…gotta have better clock management there, brother. Hopefully that comes as HCDM gets more experience running the team. Now let’s march down the field to start the second half and cut it to 14-7. Go Orange!

It's Paulus, he's not comfortable enough in the pocket to win this game
From what I’ve seen, Paulus is the issue today.
He’s uncomfortable staying in the pocket, doesn’t give time for the routes to develop and hasn’t taken a hit yet. Perhaps height is an issue and he can’t see over the lines well enough to go down field.
But he’s hurting today more then helping, and in only two plays Nassib as throw deeper then 10 yrds twice and had both recievers.
Then you look long term as well and if the 1yr QB can’t win the game this day, do you look to the RS frosh to play more, learn and develop for the future as well as perhaps challenging for a W today?
I do, and I’d like to see more Nassib, at least he has shown he’s looking down the field, and they need that open to keep the running lanes open.
