The World Will Stand Still On Tuesday, February 23rd, 2010
Seton Hall.
Rutgers.
The tradition.
The pageantry.
The passion...-try.
The rivalry.
There is no finer example of the greatness of athletics and triumph of the human will than Seton Hall vs. Rutgers. On February 23rd, 2010, you will once again feel the power, the grace and the sheer magnitude of this cataclysmic event.
The only question is...will you be there? (Pat Forde will!) Apologies are in order to the Louisville, Georgetown, Syracuse and Providence basketball teams...I'm not entirely sure why the Big East would schedule them to play on that day as well OR why the ESPN family of networks would choose Louisville-Georgetown over the Seton Hall-Rutgers game to televise, but I'm sure that will be changed soon.
Do me a favor and pick your jaw up off the ground for a second. I have something else to tell you.
SETON HALL AND RUTGERS WILL PLAY EACH OTHER A SECOND TIME THIS SEASON!!!!!!!!!
The Pirates and Knights will do battle on Tuesday, March 4th and this time it will actually be televised nationally! Possibly on ESPN! More likely on ESPN2! Pat Forde...swim freely in the warm bath of vindication.
I, for one, can hardly wait for the greatness to begin.

I'll have you know that I waited for the Youtube video to load before reading anything.
I couldn’t partake in any Rutgers-Seton Hall-ness without the proper soundtrack. Two times in one season? The world as we know it will change forever.
My wife is due March 4th...
…but she’ll understand if I can’t be there. There are some things in life you just don’t miss.
Wait a minute....
Isn’t that the famous “War for the NJ Shore” basketball rivalry game? You know, the famous rivalry game for the state of New Jersey that like the entire Eastern seaboard, and really the whole country, gets excited about?
Question though: is the afterparty still at Hunka Bunka?
SOMEone has been paying attention to their
Z100 club and concert calendar (Doo, doo, dooooo)

Hunka Bunka is no more...
now the Starland Ballroom… more of a concert venue than the headache inducing “dance” club we all knew and loved(?)
I spent many days there
as part of Ivy League Travel Camp. Did the YMCA on that dancefloor like nobody’s business.

I think what your thinking about
Princeton-Monmouth? Once Forde experiences that with a tremendous crowd of maybe 1,500, my god Jersey’s loaded with rivalries
If i get my CBS travel stipend
this is the first game I’m planning to go to.

Oh wow
Yeah, everyone here in Jersey is so excited about this upcoming game, it’s all anyone was talking about at work today. Seton Hall-Rutgers makes Duke-UNC look like a pillow fight after a JV girls basketball game.
