Well That's...Interesting
Princeton Lacrosse coach Bill Tierney is leaving to coach the University of Denver. It's a move to be closer with family for the 6-time national champion but still, it's a little like Coach K leaving Duke to take over Louisiana-Lafayette.

STUNNING...
This is a coaching move that I would have never seen coming. The good news is that it does open up a premier job in college D1 lacrosse and hopefully Princeton looks long and hard for a nice replacement to keep that program elite. But wow. Seriously Bill?
I guess it gives Denver some instant credibility
and they were on the right track the last couple years. Move is great for college lax. Puzzling, but good for the sport.
my thoughts exactly
This could help the sport’s national expansion. I mean… I don’t mind a championship every year, but it would be nice to beat some different teams along the way.
Go, fight, and win.
Agreed
I would love to see Lacrosse get the kind of national popularity that basketball has, although that’s probably unlikely to ever happen. It would make me seem like less of a nut when I brag about SU’s 11 championships, since most of the people I talk to don’t know anything about lacrosse.
