Worn-out Jonny Flynn meets with New Jersey Nets, skips workout - Today - syracuse.com
Former Syracuse University point guard Jonny Flynn met with the New Jersey Nets' management on Tuesday morning, but he did not participate in the workout. Flynn was still not feeling great after cramping up in a previous workout with another team.

Flynn compares his style to Paul Morning Journal: Serving Lorain, Erie, Huron and western Cuyahoga counties
"I have some characteristics of Chris Paul with his tenacity," Flynn said. "He's hard as nails and he's a tough guy. He fires up his teammates and he's one of the best playmakers in basketball. He really knows how to get his teammates the ball in positions where they can score. That's a sign of a great point guard. He gets into the right position where they don't have to do too much to score the basketball."

Surprise? Not. Jim Brown takes on Tiger Woods - Orange Football Blog
Only Jim Brown would call out Tiger Woods and Michael Jordan, two of America's greatest and most beloved sports icons. Yet that's exactly what Brown, the former Syracuse University legend, did during an HBO interview with Bryant Gumbel on "Real Sports."

It seems like yesterday he was making that catch. You know the one: Leaping into the air as high as his legs would take him, pinning the ball with one hand against his helmet, securing it with ...

Our own Mock Draft: The Best Off-Season moves - Searching for Billy Edelin
There's a lot of guessing going on with who will go where and when and why during Thursday's NBA Draft. No need for that here. It's a fairly crappy draft, and outside of the top three, many of the players look the same to us. We have deferred this analysis for others, sticking solely to our game and what we have seen develop so far this off-season.

Three Idiots on Sports: The Validation of the Good Doctor - Sort of
An article on USC AD Mike Garrett's shoddy coach-hiring record brings to mind the events that led Pete Carroll to Southern Cal...and how DOCTOR Daryl Gross was a part of it.

Son of former Syracuse basketball player impresses NBA scouts - Today - syracuse.com
Chris Jerebko, a native of Buffalo, played basketball at Syracuse University from 1977 to 1981. Now, almost 30 years later, Jerebko's son, Jonas, 22, is preparing for Thursday's NBA draft, when he could become the first player from Sweden taken in the first round.

Three Idiots on Sports
Oregon's new uniforms are out, and they are still terrible.

Jim Brown

also golfed on the program (the interview took place at a country club) and was terrible. I dont think he could teach golf as his contribution.

His gripe with Tiger and Jordan is that they are in a position where an entire generation of kids look up to them, as they did with Brown in the 60’s, and the example being set for them is to smile, keep the status quo and down play any controversy ala Tiger and the lynching comment. Their platform may not be as recognizably necessary as equal rights, but there is a long list of other causes to they could champion, even just by lending their images to the cause. How much more weight would Obama’s new social push carry in the community of Jordan and Tiger were endorsing it over Etan Thomas?

Jim Brown

It astounds me that this guy has a long, public and documented history of abusing women and that is never brought up.

Kige

Kige Ramsey – relationship guru.

We need to set up a Crossfire show staring Kige and Kenny – that would be GOLD.

Jim Brown

Regardless of what Jim Brown has done in the past or the comments he has made regarding Tiger or Jordan, in my opinion, h is the Greatest! Only true legends such as himself have the right to stress social activism when it comes to celebs and besides i dont believe that he means any harm. I have to agree though, people should give back and not just people of status. I stress the word “Legend” because he’s just that and a Poker Legend in the making if I may say so myself! I think he will soon be once he shows off his skills in the Atlantis this September!
