“….the time is here!”

Wow. I can’t believe how long that song has been with us!? I sort of don’t want them to change it. You hear that ridiculous cheesy song once a year – Its sort of like that awful Chipmunks Christmas song, you know? Its super fake and phony and overdone – but it wouldn’t be Christmas without hearing that. I watched exactly five minutes of coverage of the Final Four….and those five minutes were the “One Shining Moment” montage.

Does anyone know of a “Best Of” mashup of “One Shining Moments” from recent years? You could almost do this for every school. I’d really love to see a ‘Cuse “One Shining Moment” from the last 20+ years. It would be so freakin’ cool.

I have a Cuse 2003 one shining moment story. 2003. I’m a freshman in the carrier dome. Hak makes the block, we win the National Championship. I’m on the Carrier Dome floor staring up at the ceiling in pure joy. People running all around me. I didn’t even think I could get stepped on. My favorite Cuse hat was lost at the time. For a moment I didn’t care but after a while I was saddened that my beloved hat was lost. After the smoke clears and one shining moment is on. I’m back in the stands. I look and three rows down a ray of light shines on my hat as if it was brand new. Unreal (well for me).
