Big practice over the weekend as the SU Football team ran a 72-play scrimmage. Donnie Webb was there, so was Tyler Dunne from the D.O. In a nutshell, here's how it went:
- It was physical.
- The defense made some big hits.
- The offense made some nice plays.
- There's much still to be learned and worked on.
- Doug Marrone likes what he sees but wants improvement.
Done.
Donnie reached out to David Legree to try and get his thoughts on leaving the team. Legree e-mailed Donnie back over the weekend and told him...not much:
"All I will say is that it is a combination of things that I shouldn't discuss," Legree wrote. "But it is OK for people to think as they may, That doesn't effect me. This is an amazing place and I'm sorry I couldn't bring a championship back here. God bless and have a good day."
And so we all move on.
