PACKERS LOOKING AT DUKE BASKETBALL PLAYER
As Syracuse fans, everyone here can appreciate this. CBA's own Greg Paulus might not be an NBA player....but perhaps the NFL is in his future?

The Green Bay Packers have worked out Duke University basketball player Greg Paulus, according to a league source.
Paulus is a former high school Gatorade Football Player of the Year selection who was offered football scholarships to Notre Dame and the University of Miami, but chose to play basketball at Duke.
Paulus was a three-year starter for the Blue Devils at point guard who was once named second-team All-ACC. He was a third-team Academic All-American selection.
A four-time all-state football player in New York, Paulus is listed at 6′1″, 180 pounds on the Duke basketball roster.
Paulus set six New York state passing records, including career passing yards (11,763). He threw 152 touchdown passes in 45 career games, leading his high school to a 42-3 record with him under center.
Paulus was the starting quarterback in the U.S. Army All-American game, also garnering All-American football honors from Parade Magazine.

If they were smart...
…they’d take a look at Paul Harris. I think if he were realistic with himself he would realize that he has a better chance of making it in the NFL than the NBA, like Paulus.

WOW… lotta hate there. Granted a lot of people on the board stood up for Paulus too, which is good, but I am still amazed by the hatemail that was being posted toward Greg Paulus. WTF?
hate mail?
who cares? he made a silly decison. cause he never achieved stardom at duke in basketball program. and he could have actually been very s ucessful, probably, in either b ball or football at syracuse. he is not gonna play football at michigan.they allready have a good freshman back up qb.. excellent talent.and their number uno recruit they went all the way to ca, for-forcier, amazed the 50,000 bystanders at the spring game.. supposed to be one unreal option type qb.. who is probably gonna step right in this fall and play,n o mistake about it! what is more sad, is his brother.. who also happily left the syracuse area for UNC- and by now is invisable on every level on depth chart to butch davis.. he might end up like grobs wonderful statue qbs.. maybe a tight end or something. tho i still contend, the average statue just is not on any stretch of imagination, gonna be tight end material..
good for him
I hated on Paulus throughout high school and at Duke but I’ll be rooting for him to make it in the NFL or pro’s…as long as its not the Pats, Fish or Jets!
