Who Is The Fifth Starter?

So now that we know Jonny and Devo aren't coming back and Paul is as sure a no-go as you can think of, here's the starters for next season that we definitively pencil in.

  • G Andy Rautins
  • F Rick Jackson
  • F Wesley Johnson
  • C Arinze Onuaku

That leaves one slot in the guard position.  Preferably a point guard.  Knowing what we know right now, who do you think takes it?  Scoop Jardine, who got some PT last season running point and will be back at full-strength next year?  Do you slide Kris Joseph up?  What about 6-6 Mookie Jones?  Do we dare to think 6-3 Brandon Triche can come in right away and take the spot?

Brandon Reese

is the “fundamental king”…Watch out for him when he is in Triple Threat position.

How old is he, 13?

I propose we run the Reverse Villanova offense

1 guard, 4 forwards. We’ll be unstoppable in the low post!

Gotta be Scoop

He did an admirable job last year and as far as I can tell there is nothing to suggest Triche can come in and be Flynn. Dammit, I don’t wanna be talking about this. It’s all a bad dream, that’s all. Yep, that’s it.

I don’t even have the heart to vote.

Scoop

It’ll most likely be Scoop, but wouldn’t it be awesome if Triche can come in and take over?

With Apologies To Randy Edsall, The Big East Remains Mostly Harmless

FILE -- This is an Oct. 18, 2008 file photo showing Connecticut corner back Jasper Howard (6) trying to get the crowd into the game during the fourth quarter of an NCAA college football game against Rutgers, in Piscataway, N.J. Jasper Howard had his little sisters' names tatooed on his chest. His friends say it was a constant reminder of why he was at U Conn _ to provide his family with a better life than the one he had in Miami's Little Haiti. (AP Photo/Mel Evans, File) link
