This can't be SU's or D.Gross's work b/c this would mean they actually care about students. And judging by the location and cost of the section for student season tickets, I find that highly unlikely:

 

Dear Syracuse University Student Season Ticket Holder:

  In the event that SU advances to the NCAA Men's Basketball Final Four in Detroit, the NCAA has created a website specifically for Syracuse University students, where qualified students can order a student ticket book (valid for both Saturday and Monday).  Each University in the Sweet 16 will be allocated 422 seats and these will be filled on a first come, first serve basis. The website is now active and will close on Monday, March 30 at 5 PM (EST) or once the 422 seats have been ordered.
Students will be ordering one ticket book (valid for both Saturday and Monday) for a total cost of $20.60, and will receive an order confirmation if they are one of the first 422.
