That's the problem with Tuesday night games

If you are someone like me who has class, the game won’t happen. And if you are someone like me who didn’t schedule class for Monday/Wednesday nights because of basketball, then chances are I’ll have class Tuesday night.

Attendance expectations for a mid-week lacrosse game versus an inferior opponent clearly need to be muted.

Part of the problem is that there actually were other people there in the student section who were students. They just sit on their hands and won’t cheer even when we are trying to cheer over the Hobart student section.

Not to mention the Hobart section was more concentrated so they have all of their parents and students sitting together. We have our students across from our parents, so the two groups can’t cheer together.

If anyone has any idea for how to get a bunch of students to a mid-week lacrosse game during a week when a lot of people have midterms against an opponent they don’t care about, let me know. Because I’ve been trying like hell.

The student section has been so much better this year (because it exists at all), that I’ve been pretty proud of the attendance overall. Today was definitely a down game, but there were reasons for that.

Not much you can do on a Tuesday night when there are speakers and other events (not to mention class) on campus. I was sick, but I made it out, but there really were only 6 of us trying to do anything in terms of noise…eh, a win’s a win.

When 97 people respond to an event saying that they are attending what are you supposed to do besides take their word for it? are you supposed to find each individual person and knock on their door and say hey lax game tonight. you said you’re going so i just wanted to walk you there so i make sure you actually attend.
