Nico Scott may be issuing an apology in the near future...
The Syracuse DB had this to say on Twitter:
"THESE MOTHERF***ERS THAT WORK @ THIS COMPLIANCE OFFICES AT THESE UNIVERSITIES MITE BE THE DUMBEST F***ERS EVER!!!"
Someone is not happy about something.

Big Brother!!
You edited out the letters K, C, and U. Not necessarily in that order.
I feel so violated…..
Some of the compliance shit is really dumb.
Getting a fuckin job was harder than getting a mortgage. They were up my bosses ass so far I thought he wasnt going to hire me just to avoid the bull shit. Its really prohibitive. Basically, if youve ever had season tickets, you cant hire an SU athlete without an FBI background check. Even for an internship set up by the engineering department.
I was not happy when I had to be back at school early for a compliance meeting? What a load of bs. “Dont take money from boosters. dont do drugs. dont get mersa. Do you have you insurance cards? Where did you work this summer? Who paid for your car?” Thanks. Im glad I missed a week of my summer job and my brothers birthday for that shit.
It was hard enough to get my credits from UConn classes I took in HS to transfer, I didnt need compliance giving me shit on top of it.
I can feel for Nico.
It was probably because the credits were from UConn.
Only real schools count.
Seriously though, thanks for rant. It’s hard to know from the outside exactly how this stuff goes.

I worked for a software development firm in Syracuse that, in association with a major law firm here, developed a Compliance application. Web drive, etc. very cool. We had about 10 DI schools using it (I think SU was one but I honest don’t remember). We were just starting to get some real run when the NCAA made it known they were developing a compliance app for schools for FREE! Our project died about 2 months later.
Anyways, as other have mentioned, the compliance rules are very complicated. It never surprises me when I hear of a violation. Each sport has their own set of rules.
BTW – I always thought it was funny that men’s ice hockey rules might be more complicated then football or basketball rules. Atleast that’s how I remember it.
Reasoning for some of the crazy Men's Ice Hockey rules
mostly because there are several kids that come from Canada and they have Juniors there. A lot of Canadian players at the school I worked at were quite a bit older and went to different types of prep schools than we have here. Also, there’s the possibility of more overseas S-Athletes. That’s a whole other shitstorm in and of itself.
