You're Welcome, Syracuse Opponents Who Went Bowling

via supermarkethq.com

Of the 12 teams Syracuse faced this season, 10 9 of them went bowling.  Not that I'm propping that up as some kind of excuse or anything, just the opposite.  We at SU enjoy the feeling of helping others along on the road to success.  If we played any small part in their successes, or played a hand in making sure they ended up in St. Petersburg with a short schedule rather than Toronto and a month of extra practice, then consider yourselves very, very welcome.

I find your lack of counting skills disturbing

It’s only 9 (no Akron, Maine, or L’ville).

Still, 9 is a high number, & it’s probably tops among Big East schools and among the best in the country. So we’ve got that going for us, which is nice.

Was just sitting in a meeting sdaydreaming

and it occurred to me that it should be nine, not ten.

I count good.

That International Bowl

intrigues me, as in I will be watching Missing in Action on TNT.

and by "someone," do you mean

Edsall or Kelly, whichever of them bolts for ND before the bowl game?

Gator Bowl

I really hope WVU destroys Florida State. I’m so sick of Bobby Bowden. Guess your players aren’t that good when they actually have to go to class. Even if it’s English 101. The average Texas HS football program is CLEANER then FUState if that’s possible.
Finally, no most wins ever for you. Not yours.

I feel better now.

How pissed would you be

if you went 8-4, had a great year, beat FSU and then FSU leapfrogged you to take the better and more lucrative bowl?

Since I root for FSU

May as well defend them here.

Actually, I can’t. They don’t deserve to be there. I’m happy to see them get the berth, because it gives a chance that I might be able to get up there and see the game. But yeah, they don’t deserve it.

Seeing as the whole bowl system is a joke...

at least the joke was not made with a pretense of fairness.

Also… the Gator Bowl is not worth getting all excited about. Is it really that important to play West Virginia? In addition… whatever A.C.C. team is bummed out can just deal with it. Too bad, so sad. Next time join a conference where the two teams that play for the Championship are the best teams in their state. See Clemson/Ga Tech.

Meanwhile, Rutgers is whining over the Meineke Car Care Bowl. You know there are too many bowls when people don’t even want to go anymore. To TAMPA. Anyway… it’s a good ruse. “Our kids have to study.” OK… methinks you protest too much.

Although Sanu has to help his children study for their finals too. At his age, I am surprised he didn’t go to Florida St. There…we came full circle.

Another thing with the Gator Bowl

Next year, the Gator Bowl goes from being Big East-ACC to SEC-Big 10. So they really didn’t have to worry about pissing off either conference.

Anyways, it’s worked for them. Game’s completely sold out already. WVU’s distributed all of their allocation, the “public” tickets are all gone, and FSU (as of this morning) has 35,000 requests in for 20,000 tickets.
