Stay in school,

more like go to school. I’m sure he’s never been to a class at SU in his life.

The more he writes on Facebook

the more I will be okay with him not being on the team

donte-green syndrome

i.e, a maddening nacissistic inferiority deal. Whatever, Mike. Stay in school at least.

by lemonysnicket9 on Nov 4, 2009 6:41 PM EST reply actions   0 recs

Maybe Donte Green should start a non-profit

that honestly assesses a young man’s basketball skills and unbiasedly advises him on his career path.

I'm sure the NFL scouts

will see it that way one hundred percent. And be willing to offer him millions of dollars based on his maturity level.

Homer: Aw, twenty dollars! I wanted a peanut!
Homer's Brain: Twenty dollars can buy many peanuts!
Homer: Explain how!
Homer's Brain: Money can be exchanged for goods and services!
Homer: Woo-hoo!

Doubt it.

He probably dropped out of the second round with this stunt. And that means he lost out on millions. Being bad at school they might not care about, especially in a wideout, but quitting on a team because he was gonna be suspended for breaking a rule? There are plenty talented guys out there without flakiness. It was a dumb, dumb move.

Sarcasm

Pretty sure bigbluethruandthru was being sarcastic…just saying…

Hmm

Rereading his post I think you are definitely right. I had just watched the Phillies lose (FML), so I wasn’t really with it.

by NOLACuse on Nov 5, 2009 10:13 AM EST up reply actions   0 recs

I believe he was being sarcastic, in which case I’m pretty sure that all three of us agree it was a pretty stupid move that will end up costing him two or three rounds worth of money in the draft.

by nickfeely8 on Nov 5, 2009 12:34 AM EST up reply actions   0 recs

damn

both posted at 12:34, but you were mere seconds ahead of me, thus making me look like an idiot.

Thanks a lot, DMF! Haha.

by nickfeely8 on Nov 5, 2009 12:34 AM EST up reply actions   0 recs

Weird

Yep, that’s some weird stuff right there. At first I read your response and thought, “Wait, he thinks I’m being sarcastic? About the other guy being sarcastic?” So don’t feel bad, I think we all feel like idiots. Of course, we’ll never know what it really, truly feels like until we quit an activity that will make us untold millions of dollars for no damn good reason.

You finally

learned the lesson

I was debating on which one of you to take in 2nd round of the Commenter Draft.

But now after this buffoonery I’m leaving you idiots for scrap in the later rounds. Say goodbye billions and billions of +1s, you fools!

If he's not wanted...

what about those of us that were not…

offered scholarships…

offered reinstatement after being kicked out for cheating…

offered reinstatement after being suspended for violating time rules…

offered a chance to be voted back on the team despite quitting on team day before.

Seriously… that’s a lot of proof that he is wanted.

If that is not enough, just retreat to your hometown of groupies and wannabes who will tell you everything you want to hear. Until your talent is proven to be insufficient to make up for your lack of character.

New rumored story of what happened that made Mike feel unwanted:

Apparently, after mike went to marrone’s office asking to be reinstated (right before the team vote), marrone said he’d call mike at _ time, to let him know the result of the team vote. Marrone called at that time. Mike didnt pick up for 2 and a half hours. Marrone said “if you cant be responsible enough to answer your phone when i tell you im calling, you’re off this team”

Reminds me a bit of the Paul Harris thing last year, an athlete involved in an important decision going AWOL…

Not wanted?

I didn’t realize that Williams could show any more stupidity, but now he has gone and done just that. What warped reality is he living in that he feels unwanted?! He’s 22 years old, he needs to stop acting like a petulant tween. Everyone wanted him back last year, everyone wanted him back after the Akron suspension, and I’m sure that everyone would have wanted him back after serving his suspension with Bailey, Tiller, and Ball. But HE went and made a stupid, immature decision to quit. And now, instead of trying to get back in his NFL-connected coach’s good graces, he is running his mouth on facebook. Even from a purely selfish perspective, you would think that he would want to take his medicine and apologize and try to play the last 3 games of the season like a good student-athlete to possibly repair some of the damage he has done to his draft stock. Good riddance.

Also, who knows if ljshort89’s story is true, but it’s totally believable.

Sean…see if the Dome has any tickets left for Rutgers. Hurry though!

IT’S NOT BOOING IF YOUR OWN LIFE SUX REMEMBER THAT.

See… I really need to work on the misspelling though. If someone can write faulse, they probably can’t spell booing.

Give me time.
