Columbia Lions (2-1) @ Syracuse Orange (5-0) GameThread
Columbia Lions at Syracuse Orange, Nov 27, 2009 7:00 PM EST

The Orange continue their domination of the Ivy League when they take on the Lions tonight. In Mike Water's preview of the game, he explains that this one should be a breezy one...
The Orange should be able to pound away inside against the smaller Lions. If all goes right, this one should be put away early in the second half.
Who knows, maybe even Mookie Jones will get in (if he's even still there....).
Leave your pre-, in- and post-game comments below. G'Orange!

It’s on SNY here in the northeast….your best shot is probably the login information for ESPN360 posted during the Cornell game….assuming this game will be on ESPN360?
Streaming video
is available on Orange All Access, if you’re willing to drop a few bucks ($5.95/24-hour pass, $9.95/month)
not for this game
i’ll keep it in mind if there’s a good game later in the season that i can’t get down here.
thanks!
Yup
Streaming video is on OAA for this game. Just doublechecked it.

but not until there was about a minute to go
hoping this means we’ll see more than 7 getting real minutes this year. loads of talent
Was at game
Can’t tell if Cuse is that good or if every opponent just lies down for them. Pretty much every game has been the same score.
Sometimes when Brandon Triche is on, he's really fucking on.
every opponent lies down for them?
We played fucking #12 Cal, #4 UNC, and a very very good Cornell team and you think they laid down? You’ve got to be joking.
Why would anyone...
…lay down for us?
"(BARF)" - Donovan McNabb, during his game winning drive against Virginia Tech in 1998
meant it as in
has a terrible game. not losing purposely.

Jimmy B argued, and I think I agree,
that teams don’t just have terrible games — you have to force them into terrible games. I think that’s what happened with every team we’ve faced so far this year in regular season. For example, Cornell didn’t just go cold from 3 after the second half. Syracuse stretched the zone and was more aggressive. So Cornell missed more 3s and had no answer when they tried to work it inside. It’s not “laying down” then, no matter what your definition. It’s just good defense by SU.
