Rivals names Fab Melo the top signing in the Big East (so far)

http://basketballrecruiting.rivals.com/content.asp?CID=1018019

Rivals.com listed the top signings by position from each conference as of the end of the early signing period. Dion Waiters was named the top SG signing in the conference, and Fab Melo was named the top center signing and the top overall signing in the conference.

Even if we don't end up with Tobias Harris, that's still a pretty nice haul for Coach Boehiem.

espn insider, recognizing that we have signed melo, dion, and cj, said that our best recruit was dion. you know it must be a strong class for us when sources cant decide the best recruit

Well we need to push hard for Tobias

ESPN is dropping our class rating from #2 to #3 and we want to be #1. I want Syracuse to be broken next year.

The only recruit that has ended up living to the insane hype that came in with him

Is Melo. Donte and company were supposed to lead us to the promise land, and we didn’t even win the NIT.

So I can live with the 3rd best recruiting class in the country. But really, like HoyaSuxa has said several times, I won’t get too excited until I see what they can do in a college basketball game.

Todd Burgan was the underachiver.

Again, I submit to you the worst loss ever was NOT to LeMoyne, it was the opening round of the CARRIER CLASSIC and we lost to Ohio, the doormat team placed to assure us admittance to the final game the next night. It’s never good to be the undercard at your own tourney.

Also, I herald whatever class it was that brought in Elvir Ovcina.

The 'Cuse is in tha house, oh my God oh my God.

Honestly tho, the one bummer that sticks with me

was living in the country growing up, I didn’t have cable, so I had to listen to the games on the radio. It was the CvC tourney in I think 1997. I was 16. We played Indiana, coached by the General, and we won on the strength of two new freshman coming in off the bench. Their names? Preston Shumpert and Tony Bland. I remember that whole season thinking, man, we’re in GOOD hands the next few years.
