[Tobias Harris] will still be making his announcement Thursday at 5:30 p.m. on ESPNU... "
Tobias Harris via Twitter. Rumors that he had committed to Tennessee today were squashed as well.

At MSG
He’s announcing at MSG before the Cuse/Cal game. I don’t want to jinx it, but would he really do it at MSG before a game if he wasn’t going to commit to Cuse? That would be pretty dick.
Here’s hoping.

my understanding
is that he’s committing after the early signing period is over. That tells me, whoever he picks is gonna be a soft commitment.

announced after the signing period (Thursday)
but the paperwork was signed in time on Wed.

Commitment or not. Driving from GT to Tenn to catch a game 2 days before you commit isn’t a good sign for cuse fans. (even worse for GT fans)
DMF – I believe he’s announcing at the ESPN Zone.

Check this out
http://bleacherreport.com/articles/292364-recruiting-update-pinkston-to-tennessee-means-harris-is-orange – I hope this is true
Either way, he’s doing it in Manhattan right before a Cuse game. I think the stars are aligned for him to go to commit and then go to the game and get some TV coverage during the 2K Classic.

its gunna be Cuse
He is signing today, but not announcing until tomorrow. I’m a maryland fan so my fingers are crossed, but its not looking good at all haha. everything at this point is pointing towards Cuse. Tennessee won’t get him, they just signed another top forward. NO chance these 2 play on the same team. The whole recruiting process is still pretty exciting, regardless who he signs with.

Just make a decision
I’m sick of hearing about this guy.
He’s like, what, 17 or 18? Hasn’t played a minute of college ball, right? He doesn’t walk on water, right?
People are making it out like this guy is Basketball Jesus. If he commits to Syracuse, fine. If not, fine. I just don’t care and I’m sure Boeheim and Syracuse will be OK.
These guys just don’t matter to me until they get on campus and start running with the roster. There have been so many flame outs over the years that I just can’t get worked up about a teenager anymore.

Basketball Jesus was actually a fictional character played by Ray Allen in He Got Game.
If this kid turns out the be 75% as good as Hak was Ill be wildly impressed. How highly ranked as he coming out of hs? So much of it is hype.

I'm not even marginally worried
How many times has Syracuse missed out on “THE BEST PLAYER IN THE HISTORY OF EVERYTHING?” The world didn’t collapse because Syracuse didn’t land Kenny Anderson or Julius Hodge.
Boeheim does fine. If Harris goes Orange, awesome. It’ll be great to have a potentially solid SF/PF to fill Johnson’s shoes (assuming he leaves). If he goes to Tennessee, whatever. Hopkins will grab something else.

hmmm....
for someone so sick of hearing about him, interesting how you must have just happened across this page, and your fingers must have slipped a lot to actually post on something that disgusts you so much….juuuust sayin.
no he doesn’t walk on water, and no, he alone is not going to bring a team a championship. But the addition of Tobias to these schools already committed prospects will make for an even greater class that could possibly bring a championship. maryland has 3 commitments from top 100 recruits, having a 5 star guy come in with them would be awesome. obviously we aren’t a front runner, and if he does pick us it would surprise the hell out of me.

Yes, because I have never posted a comment on this site
You win the Man War. Congratulations.
But you’re missing the point: It’s only potential. I don’t care how much potential he has. He has not played a minute of college hoops. If he turns out to be a superstar, that’s great. If not, that’s OK, too. I just don’t care until he pulls on a college jersey.
Enjoy Maryland and Gary’s overactive glands.

Guys, hate to break the news but Pinkston is backing off his commitment to Tenn today.
http://www.zagsblog.com/2009/11/18/pinkston-to-hold-off-on-decision/
The obvious assumption is that harris gave some sort of commitment or sign that he would sign with Tenn and pinkston doesn’t want to compete for playing time.
This came report comes out 24 hours after he “committed” to Tenn and 12 hours after harris showed up at the game.

On the front page of Rivals.com, they’re indicating he’ll decide tonight and sign a letter of intent. Can’t read the story though, since it’s behind their subscription wall. FWIW.
SI.com is reporting that Waiters signed his letter of intent, so that’s good. http://www.fannation.com/truth_and_rumors/view/128671-recruit-sticks-with-syracuse
