It's Rutgers Week
If I were a crude, unimaginative blogger looking to appeal to the lowest common denominator, I'd post a collection of videos that involve New Jersey and it's denizens in an extremely poor light which would in turn reflect poorly on Rutgers, located in said Jersey.
Lucky for you, I am that crude, unimaginative blogger.

Now, now, now. We can't be too harsh.
After all, our esteemed starting quarterback previously attended the Durham, NC campus of Rutgers University
[don’t mind me. My wife’s from North Carolina, and most of her family are UNC fans. A common derogatory term for Duke is Rutgers-Durham]
When I was applying to law school my decision actually came down to Syracuse versus Rutgers. So glad I made the decision I did (for many reasons, mostly that I would’ve had to go to Rutgers).
My skin gets all itchy when I think of all the STDs floating around that state.
Little known fact: H1N1 actually originated on the Rutgers campus due to viral cross pollination.
This is somewhat pathetic to note
But my friend who’s a student at Stevens Institute of Technology was involved in a Science Quiz Bowl. It was them, Rutgers, Princeton, and NJIT. Somehow, someway, Rutgers beat Princeton and Stevens to win said Science Quiz Bowl.
How so? Let’s just say they had the much easier questions than their counterparts. Much easier.
Oh hell, I can’t wait. I may need to post a warning on Twitter to stop following me all day Friday if offensive language offends anyone but then again, its Rutgers so offensive behavior is like breathing in Jersey as shown above.
I lost 5 followers
after my first abortion joke for #beatlouisville…it just goes with the territory
"first" abortion joke?
Didnt realize you had an arsenal…

You know, sean...
an easy retort for us Knights fans would be to post highlights from the Syraville game. ;)
Now if you don’t mind, I need to hop in my Camaro and head over to GNC. Nice sale on Creatine this week.
I fully expect Rutgers fans
to be vocal on Friday and otherwise. Let the tomfoolery commence.

Good point...
You should point out both of RU’s losses to Top 10 teams, actually. And then note that they’re our only losses. And then move on to polishing your Ernie Davis statuette ( <—innuendo).
That is all.
How Could a team
lose to Howard, Texas Southern, the SE School for the blind, the NE school for the blind, the south park cows……
Yes, your scintillating wins over Akron and Maine kept us all on the edge of our seats. And of course, that thriller of loss to Minnesota, the team that blew by South Dakota State by a score of 16-13 last Saturday.
So when Syracuse loses Sunday I will freely admit you are on the same level as a school for the blind.
What bedtiem story will Marroen read to the press after your last game. The Little Blue Engine has alreready been done. Yo want embarassign, THAT’s embarassing! FIST PUMP!!!
You Really
Want to go down the road and compare things past coaches did? Terry Shea’s not walking through that door you know. Keep scheduling schools that don’t actually play football and keep building that International and Texas Bowl legacy…..those memories are forever.

Seriously
That’s you’re best retort. Fact is, Syracuse has been exposed as a school who is not made up of die hard loyal orange crazies, but rather an apathetic fan base who only show up when the team is good. Sound like the same snide comments you made about RU and all it’s bandwagon fans back in 2006. It’s funny how the same number people are showing up for your home games as they did for us during the Shea years. Guess you’re not so special after all.
"only show up when the team is good"
How was SUNJ’s attendance during your 100 years of abysmal football?

I'm sure it was fine.
But that really wasn’t the point of his comment, was it? Think hard, and don’t hurt yourself. Maybe lay off the hookah for a spell and try to concentrate?
I wasn't responding to his entire comment
He made the assertion that our fanbase only shows up when we’re good, which is accurate to an extent, but how does that make you guys any better? Your fanbase didn’t exist until you guys started beating up on Sisters of the Poor en route to your inflated 9 and 10 win seasons.

Arguing with a Rutgers fan is like treating herpes. No matter what you do, it wont go away.
Ask a Rutgers alum about herpes. They will know what Im talking about.

I’m not saying it makes us better. I am saying that the Cuse fans have an overinflated view of what their program really is.
Your fan base didn’t exist until you guys started beating up on Sisters of the Poor en route to your inflated 9 and 10 win seasons.
And lucky for us, Syracuse was already on the schedule during those years.
Lucky for you?
You do realize that the all-time series is 28-10-1. Almost half of your all-time wins against us were against G-Rob, congrats.

NCAA violations plz
It’s too bad that there don’t seem to be any NCAA violations that occurred under GRob that could get all of those years stricken from the books.
It wasn't fine.
It was absolutely not fine. I have been to Rutgers games (not just against Syracuse either) and, before their recent success, the crowds were extremely small. Their crowds made the current Cuse crowds look massive.
"I'm sure it was fine..."
But I’m not positive because I didn’t even know they had a team before that one good win in 2006.

you're referring...
To you, or me? ’Cause i watched a lot of baad football back before the Louisville game.
Let’s be clear: nobody at RU is claiming all-time domination. It’s just that you suck now. ;-)
USF wasn't top 10
24 > 10. But I shouldn’t expect someone from NJ to understand such mathematics.
Nor would I expect a Cuseian (?) to understand logic.
Or reading comp, either.
We didn’t lose to USF. Our two losses were to Top 10 teams – Cincy and Pitt. If you noted the national media — and assuming you attend Syracuse, I would imagine you aspire to join them one day — we smoked USF. Pitched a shutout. Embarassed them. I think it was 31-0.
Either way, again, I pointed out that our losses were to Top 10 teams. We’ve beaten everyone else. Including the Directional School for the Blind and the Tampa Anger Management Academy.
As you said, “That is all.”
My bad.
You’re right, I was reading quickly and thought you said that you said you had beaten a top 10 team. You did smoke USF. They were fist pumped into submission.
Regarding your losses, Cinci and Pitt weren’t rated in the Top 10 at the time. Doesn’t really matter, since they are now, of course. But as you point out, RU’s wins other than the USF victory are against Cream Puff U and Guam State. I kind of wish Syracuse had more easy wins like that instead of one of the more difficult schedules around.
Anyway, for future reference, it’s “Syracusan” and if you’re going to use “that is all” I think that it’s most effective with a short post. By the way, this is a lot of fun – I don’t think I’ve seen another team with more insecure fans that feel the need to post like you guys.
By The Way
USF was your first shutout in Big East play. EVER. http://www.nunesmagician.com/2009/10/27/1103135/syracuse-is-15-2-on-halloween

Bring it on.
What’s the over/under for attendence this week minus Familes & Friends of the seniors?
Will each senior get a treasured shot of themselves at mid filed with DCOTOR Daryl Gross?
Best part, “NY’s” Team signs a deal to play in NJ.
Seroiusly, I love Syracuse. MOntclair and William PAtterson can’t take everyone with average SAT’s.
Fuel to this immature fire!

or just talk about Rutgers to cause an uproar in their fanbase...
That can’t accept that college football actually existed farther back than 5 years ago…
