When does Nassib start to get more reps

Greg Paulus is a decent QB, though he's not going to the NFL as a QB and he's not going to be able to QB the Orange next year.

So I wonder, in games last last week or perhaps in future games, perhaps WVU more likely Cincy when SU is clearly out of the game if we'll see Nassib get more reps @ QB.

They have a couple more frosh QBs coming in next year so Nassib might not be the guy next year either but doesn't it make sense to get him more involved with the O and see what you've got.

If Paulus can't keep SU in the game, lets at least evaluate the younger players.  Also Nassib has about 4 inches on Paulus so his ability in passing situations to avoid deflected balls and to stay in the pocket to make throws could be a big advantage for the O.

We might see him on occasion, but I don't think he'll get full time until we are really out of it.

Even last week we had a shot in the game once we made it 34-20. I think this week’s game will be too close. Unless Paulus has another game like last week I just don’t see him getting pulled completely.

Paulus

Has kept SU in every game – even the 5 int debacle last week.

I understand what you’re saying, but this SU team is good enough to be in every game they play this year – maybe with the exception of Cincy.

paulus -nfl??

i doubt that nassib, is like 6’5"- guess easy to check on it. and how in the world would u know if he is gonna suceed in the nfl as qb?i personally am into opton qbs, but it appears marrone is convinced of his talent. and why not, he seems like a cloner of the 6’? qb from perdue that is starting for the nfl saints. i think, since i dont follow nfl football at all.. and i can say this, paulus would look far better right now , if say he was surrounded by a team like say florida gators. which actually had stars in their secondary, and offensive line. as well as a running attack of sorts.right now, he is a walking target out there..

mini" qbs

in the past year or 2, it would appear that the 5’11" and 6’ qbs at missouri, kansas, and nc state , as well as the vt qb, seem to be doing well, also the gt qb is not a typical nfl cloner 6’5"statue" either..

Fair points

Paulus is undersized, but it’s not like he’s the only one. He definitely is getting better in each game, though I do still have concerns over his ability to stay in the pocket and make plays. Seems like that is where most of his issue come from right now.

Not sure Nassib helps much this year, thinking more of it in terms on next year knowing if he’d be ready or not. I guess the two kids coming in are supposed to be pretty good also so it’s not like Nassib is the only option.

marvin graves"

was only around 6" and any cloner statue qb can stay in the pocket" til he completes a pass or his sacked.. what everyone now, cept really big dogs like bama or usc, is looking for, are mobile opton"-oops qbs.. that can make things happen with their arms and feet both. like the qbs at baylor, nc state..penn state..ohio state.. michigan. an d i never would have expected big 11schools like psu, michigan, or ohio state to recruit or play opton- sorry, dual threat qbs. but they had to do s omething, they just c ould not beat either the big dog, usc, pro style attack with their own nfl set offense, much less both osu and michigan got beat by vince young at Ut and saw the handwriting onthe wall.

Paulus all year

For the sake of the program, we need as many wins as possible this year.

When you say Nola....

do you mean it like I mean it? As in, you live in New Orleans (and are an SU grad/fan)?
