My first experience at the Carrier Dome was not an average one. You see, I got to play in the Carrier Dome my friends. Let me bring you up to date.
I'm 15 years old, and I play basketball. I play in a league called AAU (amateur athletic union), but instead of playing in the winter during the regular season, we play from early April to late June. My team is called the Capital City Cougars, and we're from Albany.
Now that that's all cleared up we can get on with the story. So my team made it to the pre-nationals, and the pre-nationals take place in the Carrier Dome. So, I walked in with my friend Steph at my side and all we could say was "...................................................." Well, we couldn't say anything. We were speechless. IT WAS GINORMOUS!! They had ten basketball courts set up and we were on court 7. It took 20 minutes, at least, to make our way over and down the steps into the opening to get on the courts. There were 212 teams in the whole tournament thingy. There were 9 in our bracket. After the first game I wanted to come back right away. I was lucky, because we had a triple-header that day. I had SO much fun and get wait for next season so we can go back. Ever since that day, I have been a Syracuse Orange fan.
