Why the orange-out won't work
This is why:
I like the shirt's design, but the problem is that they're being sold for $9.99. When other places do color-outs the shirts are given out for free at the door. Syracuse, however, loves to squeeze every penny out of their fans and students. Unless orange shirts are handed out at the door I doubt the entire crowd will bring their own orange.
I love SU. I really do. But the greed that the school exhibits sometimes is pretty disgusting. With tuition through the roof, they should be giving out free orange Armani suits, but no. Where does all that money go? I guess it all compensates for the lack of football ticket sales.
And one other note from campus today. There was a quote from Paul in the D.O. that I hadn't seen before. This came from after the loss to Pitt:
I hope we play them in the Big East tournament, I swear. If we play them, we're not going to lose. I'm going to guarantee that I'm going to beat them. I swear to God, we're going to beat them. I want them again.
Something tells me Paul will be cheering for the Cardinals next weekend.

Actually Paul probably won't cheer for the Cards
because that will, in essence, be cheering for Larry Fitzgerald who went to Pitt. And since Pitt is who he clearly hates, maybe he roots for the Steelers.
As for the OrangeOut. I agree on the University being greedy, so not everyone is gonna where the actual shirt. But I think enough people will wear it and enough people have heard about it that it will be almost a true OrangeOut. I have a hard time believing someone who cares enough to go to an SU v G-Town game in Syracuse does not own orange clothing of some kind.
Paul's quote
Thats all well and good, but he should have showed up for the game on the schedule.

The sad thing
About the Orange out is it would be so easy to get the free t-shirts. Have it sponsored – plaster some advertisements on the back – who cares – it would be better than shelling out $10 and would ensure almost everyone would get one. But hey – that would take work and who wants to do extra work.
