Recruiting

I just saw this post on Syracuse.com regarding two recruits that will be visiting Syracuse this weekend. Charley "Ridiculously Good Looking" Loeb is expected to make an official visit as will David Oku.

Oku is apparently the #1 All-Purpose Running Back in the country. Oku is committed to Tennessee. And the reason to think that we might have a shot at landing him? He was recruited by new Syracuse coach Stan Drayton.

Wow. Just wow.

why wouldnt you visit?

even if youre committed, I would still take the maximum number of visits. Let coaches wine and dine me and party at as many schools as I can.

Even if we land none of these guys

I feel like it says something about Marrone and the people he surrounded himself with that top recruits are even visiting Syracuse right now.

Absolutely

It makes me feel pretty good about the situation.

Why would this running back visit?

Maybe one of the 67 (an approximate figure) former UT coaches we are now employing knows him. Sounds good to me. Even if neither one ends up here, it’s a good sign.

I love that

those commitments means absolutely nothing.

I think typically you see kids jump ship during coaching changes

Otherwise, I don’t think the renege all that often. But yes, they mean nothing. Isn’t that right Michael Vick?
