nice......

way to drop the oddest LOST! quote imaginable in there…

Thoughts on last night’s premiere?

I liked that we see the old lady again (the one that appeared before to Desmond). She’s……interesting.

And, I’m BEYOND disappointed that Charlott’s going to die. That just makes me sad.

She’s so……damn HOT

I don't think so....

I mean think about back when she told Desmond not to marry Penny and not to give her the ring?

If anything, she’s Farraday’s mother, right?

(is that what you meant?)

I think she might be Farraday’s mother too. but Farraday said his mother would be at Oxford. Ben was in LA not England. This is why this is a great show because there is so much to debate.

Oxford / LA

Hang on, she could have been at Oxford at a different time, right? Like three weeks ago or something? Besides, you can get from London —> LA pretty quick.

The time travel aspect

has completely thrown the “can be in two places at once” idea out there now

I liked

that the compass was brought into the story line. That was one of the things that Richard put down in front of young Locke last season and asked him if any of the things on the table were his. He chose the knife and chose poorly.

Compass

I liked that wrinkle too.

But hang on, the compass didn’t exactly “belong” to Locke, right? It belonged to Alpert, didn’t it?

I think what will ultimately happen is that Alpert and Locke may cross paths again, because Locke has to give that compass to Alpert at some point…….right? But it will be a point where Locke doesn’t know Alpert (obviously). Whereas in their first meeting, Alpert KNEW locke and Locke DID NOT know Alpert. (confused yet?)

I think that meeting when Locke was a kid

was still part of this whole time loop, and when he presented the knife, Alpert knew there was still something wrong in the loop. Course correction, baby.

Yeah I think it was part of the time loop too. I think they were trying to find a way to make the jumping stop by bringing the young locke to the island, if he recognized the compass. But when he didn’t they knew it would do them no good so they bolted to make it back to the island before it jumped again.

compass

IS that Alpert’s “constant”?

Something just dawned on me about G-Rob

I think I know one reason Rodriguez wanted him. We never beat WVU under Robinson’s tenure, but more often than not, we played them tough and sometimes down to the 4th quarter or further you could argue we were in the game. Perhaps Rod took those games to mean Robinson was good at defense.

Are these links accurate?

2005 SU football results :: lost to WVU 7-15
2006 SU football results :: lost to WVU 17-41
2007 Syracuse football results :: lost to WVU 14-55

I believe those are the 3 times Greggers faced Rich Rod. in the Big East and 2 out of 3 are pretty dang lopsided. I hope that this is what Rodriguez calls “good at defense,” but clearly it is not the case.
