Greg Robinson Is A Hot Commodity
I had heard this a couple days ago but didn't want to mention anything because it sounded too absurd. Bot now, if it's good enough for Donnie, it's good enough for me:
Former Syracuse University head football coach Greg Robinson may be headed to the University of Michigan to serve as defensive coordinator. One source said it's a done deal.
Wow, Michigan fans. I know we don't know each other all that well but you might want to pray that God will make you a bird so that you can fly far, far away from here.
Check out this Michigan fan try to talk himself into Greggers:
With his hayday coming in 1997 and 1998, does he have anything left after going 3-9 at Syracuse? Who knows… Would I give him the chance? If Rich Rodiguez thinks he can work with him and the retained defensive staff buy into Robinson’s scheme, I see no reason why he cannot turn around the sieve that was Shafer’s 2008 Michigan defensive squad.
AHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA.....
Here's what makes the story even better...
Another source said they thought Robinson might be involved with UCLA.
UCLA and Michigan are, apparently, fighting for Greg Robinson's services.
Bruin fans and Wolverine fans, I'm not saying you should commit seppuku. I just want you to be aware of the practice.

If Greggers goes to Michigan does this mean
a) we’re basically trading coaches? Our failed head coach for their failed defensive coordinator (that we are excited about, I know, but still failed in Michigan).
b) that as an adopted Ohio State fan due to my girlfriend, I will have even more incentive to root against Michigan (is that mean? Should I not root for Greggers to fail completely at life?).
wow michigan must realllly suck
if they want to hire greg robinson.. i wouldn’t hire him to walk my dogs.
Not to say something un-mean here
but I think this is the type of situation that’s a good fit for Robinson. He really should be a DC, not an HC and at Michigan, after this past season, there are really very few expectations. He can safely fail because Rodriguez has created a situation where everyone is going to blame him first. And if by chance G-Rob succeeds, it’s a bonus.
Was this some sort of pre-agreed upon trade? You get our shitty DC, we get your horrendous coach?

I sent this story to a Michigan Alum
He responded on Friday afternoon “I hate you for trying to ruin my weekend.”
