ORANGE OUT THE DOME ON FEB 14TH (Gtown game)
Fans of the CUSE!
Its about time we show the country that we are the BEST FANS in the country! Some of you "fans" will have to step up your game to prove this, others, like myself, just need to be at the Dome (business as usual)
Here is the proposal:
ORANGE OUT THE DOME! YOU MUST WEAR ORANGE TO THE DOME ON FEB 14th FOR THE GEORGETOWN GAME! MAYBE THE UNIVERSITY WILL STEP UP AND HAND OUT ORANGE TOWELS OR SOMETHING FOR US ALL TO WAVE!
It would look AWESOME on TV, and hopefully College Gameday will be there that day! What do you say???????
I SAY GO CUSE!
We need all the papers, the beat writers, and the bloggers to champion this event! Lets get some momentum behind this! AXman, give us a shout out tonight on your show, and every night for a while!

Let's do this
So no college game day this year, BOOO!!! the brains at ESPN decided that the Ohio State-Wisconsin game would be much more exciting than Cuse-G-town, but that’s not gonna stop me from wearing Orange. Axeman talk it up!!!! orange out the Dome we have a month to promote!!!!

washcloths
how would we distribute them though, we would probably need permision from the university if we want to get them out to everyone who walks through the doors. and .02 cents times 30,000 is a bit steep, I think our best bet is to spread the word enough so taht the papers pick it up and get some orange shirts and towells donated…Somebody Email Darryl Gross

ive never liked these little gimmicks
it seems like something a school like providence would do to drum up support. this is cuse, and there’s gonna be 30 thousand + at that gtown game no matter what, most of them in orange anyway. i like to think us cuse fans pride ourselves on coming out and being great fans no matter who we play (after all, what other school could get 20 thousand fans at an NIT game?), not being gimmicky and handing out orange towels to “make our fans better” or “look cool on tv.”
plus, we all saw how well georgia’s fan gimmick black out worked against bama in football this year.

because 30,000 people acting as one
against georgetown is more intimidating than a woman knitting behind the baseline

Just do us a favor and
instead of waving your hands haphazardly behind the basket for every Gtown free throw, move your arms and hands in unison just before the shooter shoots. Statistically better odds of affecting the shot.

this is where cheerleaders come in handy
cheerleaders should actually be leading the fans behind the hoops and instructing them to do that. i think mark cuban was the first person to discover this phenomenon and he thought it would be too difficult to implement at the nba level but thought it was great for college.

so let me get this straight
everyone wears orange= raucous, boisterous crowd all acting as one
everyone doesnt wear orange= the only person in attendance will be a woman knitting?

this is not a little gimmick!
This will be testament to our fanhood! We are not trying to drum up support, we are trying to bring the Dome to (ill steal from Mad TV) a “Ho Notha Level!” (HNL)…….We will be showing America how awesome the DOME is…….

just my opinion
but i think these things show america how lame a fanbase is. hey, i’ll be at this game, and i’ll be wearing orange and cheering as i always do, but i always associate these “whiteout” and “blackout” things with miami heat fans who think just because they all wear white they are good fans. it’s much more important to be loud than to be monochromatic, and there’s no doubt in my mind there’s gonna be 30 thousand screaming cuse fans at this game

you are welcome to your opinion...
…but after I read “you will be at the game and wearing orange and cheering as I always do”, I stopped reading, because my job is done…..I dont need to explain the intricacies of an “Orange Out” or change your opinion….just want you to wear Orange! You will become a believer of the power once you witness the awesomeness!

2 thoughts.
1) The Washington Wizards did a “white out” for their first home playoff game against the Cavs last year. I was really skeptical and thought it sounded cheesy. But I stepped into the arena and saw a white shirt on every seat in the arena and it looked amazing. On top of that, the Zards passed out white towels and strongly encouraged (called them out on the jumbotron) fans to put on their white shirts.
It as amazing. Fans got so into the game, white was everywhere, towels spinning anywhere you looked. It was by far the loudest I’ve ever heard that arena. On top of that, it was the only game the Zards won that series, and they won by 30.
1) However, to really get this off the ground with some serious printing stuff (shirts, towels, trinkets, whatever) for the G’town game, we probably would have had to get the ball rolling a month ago. I would imagine it takes at least a month to design and print 30,000 items that are University-approved. Then the logistics behind distributing them. I just doubt anything real serious could be pulled off by Feb 14. Maybe later in the season though…

Any

Not sure if I’ll wear the tasteful age-appropriate SU polo shirt or the GMac jersey, but either way it’ll be orange.
