Doug Marrone may have a Merry Christmas after all

According to Mike Williams' facebook page, Doug Marrone just got a big Christmas gift.

With the return of Mike Williams possible, Marrone has another piece to build on. If he is able to convince Arthur Jones to stay for his final year, the Orange definitely will have some talent on both sides of the ball and would make it easier for Marrone to rebuild (sorry, this isn't a rejuvenating effort) the football program.

Actually, I like the rejuvenation thing

I think it actually gets at the problem with the program. We aren’t just a program with talent deficiency that needs to rebuild. We do have talent problems, but also performance problems. These last couple of years the team has seemed dead in the water. Lifeless. Rejuvenation is exactly what a dead program needs. I think Marrone sees that the team has no soul, no identity. And rebuilding implies that there is something there to build up again. Rejuvenation is about new life. Which is what this team needs. And let’s hope we get Mike Williams back. That’ll help big time.

I love it

I hope he is back, for real – he would definitely be a huge asset to the offensive production of this team. I love the fact that he wrote that he “is register for classes at Syracuse.” Hey Mike, don’t sweat the grammar, we’re just happy as hell that you could be back on the field for the Orangemen!

buffalo talent

i could not help but notice, being from the southwest tier, a area that is usually igonored by Su football recruiters, that .. quelle surprize.. that a sizable% of the ub bulls starters were from our part of upstate ny, like williams.. rejuvenation is just a buzz word.. with the team record under grob, for 4 years, its rebuild time..
