The Limerick!
Goddamn it, I love that place. For a place so wholly unremarkable, it would be impossible for me to count how much time I have spent there!!

I will say here, what I said on the food blog
Where is the Westcott St love?
I do not understand why Westcott St is overlooked. It is not that far from campus and it has some very fine choices. Dorian’s has some of the best, and most interesting, pizza options around, but especially near campus. Las Delicias is really good Caribbean food. And it’s pretty cheap too. New Garden is the best takeout Chinese in Syracuse. That isn’t just me saying it, there was a Daily Orange article on the subject. Munjed’s is great Middle Eastern Food and Alto Cinco has some damn fine Mexican. Why does the Westcott area not get a shout out? For anyone who lived on Lancaster, Maryland or Clarendon, it has some delicious memories.

Even when I was there...
Westcott was kindof an afterthought. I’m most disappointed with the fact that the artsy theater was so close-by and I never went there to see obscure indie films and then tell others to go see those films and feel like I know more than they do cause I watch indie cinema.

I saw The Aristocrats there
Nearly died laughing. But, yes, Westcott is an afterthought and I don’t know why it hasn’t caught on. It really is a decent little strip. My main gripe is, if you are writing about good food in Syracuse leaving some of these places off just doesn’t make sense. Maybe they aren’t well known, but they certainly are good. I’ll take Dorian’s pizza over every single M-Street pizza place except for Augies (when I’m drunk and there). And Augies I like because it’s cheap, easy and decent. Dorian’s is still better. I guess because it gets ignored because its a bit of a walk and on the opposite side of the most frequented parts of campus. But if you lived anywhere off Euclid past Ostrom, I say it’s inexcusable to not know of its hidden gems. Oh, and speaking of gems, how did he leave off Doc’s Little Gem Diner? Classic diner food and sketchy people. What could be better?
I guess my point is, this is a good list, but an ultimately safe one. Perfect for the sports fan just looking for food choices, but for foodies, there are many more culinary adventures to be had in the Cuse.
