If the Ed Orgeron story is true

this became a much, much better hire. I like Marrone already, but I have my doubts. But Orgeron, he can recruit. A lot of people say Ole Miss’ success this year has a lot to do with Orgeron even though he is gone. Please let this happen.

I wholeheartedly agree

The key here to me is really Coach O. That’s where I feel good about this. He’s a renowned recruiter and a pretty decent D coach as well. Plus I like the idea of two younger and hungry guys with a lot to prove. I don’t know why, but I’m absolutely and positively optimistic about this. Maybe I’m talking myself into it, but Marrone seems like the right guy for the job.

I mean look at the others:
- Edsall: for whatever reason it seems like he didn’t want it
- Gill: probably holding out for Auburn and we needed to move fw. before Christmas
- Holtz: if you believe Donny, ’Cuse turned HIM down
- Leach/Petersen/Tuberville: two words: pipe dreams

The comments about us being just one of the worst teams in Div1a (or BCS Subdivision or whatever the F* they call it) all ring true for where the program is today. The program just…has really become a punch-line and really lousy over the past few yrs and frankly we probably weren’t someone’s #1 choice. So to have someone that WANTS to do this job effectively and that can bring in a stellar, proven commodity like Coach O; well, to me, that’s a darn good start.

This guy has my support.
