I can not believe we are going to lose Turner Gill to Auburn. He will probably get fired there in three years anyhow.

This is why we will be stuck with Skip Holtz while the better coach, who is only 2 hours away, will slip out of our hands, we are not aggresive enough instead rather interview 100 people and hope someone begs enough for the job and is still around when we decide to hire someone.

Unfortunately, at this point, we can’t exactly compete with a school like Auburn.

That being said, we should’ve locked up Gill when we had the chance. I’m higher on Holtz than others here seemingly, and I’d love to see him as HC, but we had a chance on Gill, and we blew it. My one hope is that Auburn decides in the next day or two to go into another direction, and that DOCTOR Gross jumps on the Thruway and drives West with a contract with Turner GIll’s name on it as soon as the news comes down.

Either way, I have a feeling this will all be resolved by Friday.
