Academics? They Still Do That?

Two Syracuse football players, starting cornerback Nick Chestnut and backup defensive end Andrew Lewis, have been suspended from school for the dreaded "academic reasons." In other words, their GPAs are lower than the number of vegetable servings in Patrick Shadle's diet.

Head coach Greg Robinson said Wednesday afternoon that both players were suspended for the spring semester but could could return to the team in the fall if they take care of their academic situations.

Sounds like it's a blip on the road to recovery and we'll see them both back on campus next year. The infractions aren't exactly Fulmer Cup-worthy, which makes it seem like such a waste. If you're gonna get suspended for bad grades, at least smoke pot while doing it. That's 2 points!
